| Wardrobe: New but does not quite look it |
The Shabby Chic Style has come into it's own over recent years and now a very popular choice.
As furniture ages it often gets a few coats of paint over time and naturally picks up the odd dent or faded surface. This style of furniture is now known as Shabby Chic and many peices of new furniture are painted, rubbed down, distressed to end up in this same style.
Sourcing this furniture is traditionally from Boutiques and comes with a hefty price tag. Although there are few good commercial ranges around which retain a good quality but thankfully save on the cost.
It is a careful balance to retain quality distressing the furniture just the right amount. Overall you will know it when you see it method seems to work quite well.
I am always a little suspicious of the boutiques that they are putting the furniture out at massive margins. Take for example this piece pictured on the right:-

It is a nice piece of furniture but
New England Lifestyle Furniture Price: £695
Furniture Today: £499
So why is there such a vast difference in price and why are they called different things!
We know why, one supplier is attempting to sell a 'lifestyle' whilst the other is just selling a wardrobe.
There are quite a few big internet retailers always check the fine print and look for reviews but if it is just a wardrobe you are after then these companies most often offer the best value.
